The Research On Design Of Children’s Hospital Emergency Department Based On The Efficiency Improvement

Children’s medical care and health have always been widespread concern, and difficulties of medical treatment, low emergency efficiency is a focus problem in current society. In recent years, the construction of children’s hospital is growing fast, the design concept and method of children’s hospital buildings have become a concerned topic by the designers and builders. Emergency department is an important part of children’s hospital, and emergency efficiency is directly related to the lives of children, also an important symbol of medical technology and management level of the children’s hospital. In view of the above background, it has a certain practical significance to study the design of children’s hospital emergency department.Firstly through the research of children’s hospital and emergency on architectural design, medicine, sociology direction, the paper reviews the development of children’s hospital emergency department. With analysis the characteristics of emergency disease of children and the crowding phenomenon, which are two main effect factors of design, it gets the special aspects on regulatory requirements, emergency behaviors and users demand, which is the basis of the research on efficiency improvement and concluding design methods.Compared to the general hospitals, the number of children’s hospital is less in our country, and they are quite different between each other. In order to summarize its characteristics, with the background of theoretical study, this paper selected 17 children’s hospitals of four cities to field survey, and recorded the use situation and design of their emergency departments. Then it takes nine representative cases for independent analysis, including the overall layout, emergency procedures, functional zoning and streamline organization, space design. With a questionnaire survey and interviews, it analyzes the cognition and usage of company parents to emergency department, and their demand for space. It helps to clear the design features and principles of children’s hospital emergency department.Combined with the theoretical research and case contrast analysis, the paper explores the design principles on scientific planning and layout, reasonable function zoning, efficient streamline organization, clears the focus of how to improve emgency efficiency, with putting forward strategies of establishment of children’s emergency system, emergency accessibility, multi-stage and partition reception, and put forward specific requirements and methods of the design of architectural space and enhancing the quality of space, with analysis and exposition on the design methods of cases. Hope it can provide practical value reference on architectural design of children’s hospital emergency department in our country.
