The frequency of public security crimes in hospitals has increased year by year and has affected badly.Because of the security management requirements of hospitals and the current status of the lack of security design in domestic hospital buildings, this study carries out spatial classification from the perspective of security management, and investigates the various problems caused by the failure to integrate security design requirements into the hospital outpatient and emergency department building design, then propose a hospital outpatient and emergency department construction design proposal that facilitates security management through example analysis, and maintains the hospital’s security environment from the prevention level.Due to the severe state of security and security design in local hospitals,National Natural Science Foundation of China——《Research on Design Method of Crime Prevention in Urban General Hospital: Take Beijing as an example》(Project approval number: 51608023)hopes to improve the hospital security management environment through the prevention of crimes and reduce the economic cost of security management.Starting from the hospital security management needs as a subtopic, this study analyzes the problems of hospital outpatient and emergency department buildings due to lack of security design and try to propose improvement suggestions from the design level. This study contains a total of six chapters:The first chapter is preface, presenting the theoretical basis and research background. This section clarifies the source of the thesis and the research basis and introduces the related concepts, theories, scope, content, methods, etc.,at the same time,it introduces the research status and development trend in the related fields of this research and explains the necessity and feasibility of the study. The second chapter introduces the development of hospital security management and the current situation of security management in Beijing Municipal Hospital. This chapter reviews the origin and development of hospital security management at home and abroad, summarizes three development phases of foreign hospital security management, and clarifies the advantages of considering security management requirements at the beginning of design,at the same time,it objectively evaluated the status of security management in Beijing Municipal Hospital. The third chapter analyzes the security management problems of hospitals in Beijing.Combining with the "Beijing Municipal Hospital Outpatient and Emergency Room Research" organized by the Beijing Hospital Authority, this chapter combs the basic information of five target hospitals and analyzes the questionnaires, interviews, and observation results, and summarizes the architectural design issues related to security management requirements, and objectively describes the security management issues that design can solve. The fourth chapter identifies the spatial classification based on security management and analyzes the case of the outpatient and emergency department of Beijing Municipal hospital.Combining with the results of foreign research and the characteristics of domestic hospitals, this chapter divides the hospital outpatient and emergency department space into four categories, and starts from four types of space and conducts analysis of architectural design examples based on security management combining with the criminal model theory and the CPTED theory. The fifth chapter puts forward suggestions for hospital outpatient and emergency department building design based on security management.Through the above analysis, this chapter proposes the security design recommendations for new hospitals,as well as suggestions for the transformation design of existing hospitals. The six chapter summarizes this study and attempts to propose follow-up research ideas. The most effective and cost-effective method to solve the hospital outpatient and emergency department and even the whole hospital security management problem is to consider the hospital security management requirements from the security partition, traffic flow lines, entrances and exits, and borders in the early stage of design. This study analyzes from the theoretical and practical levels, and proposes a security design strategy for the hospital putpatient and emergency departmentm, calling for industry personnel to attach importance to the important role of architectural design in the hospital security management work,in order to help maintain the security environment of the domestic hospital.
