| Intelligent design is one of the most typical and active application area in the field of artificial intelligence. This article launched a intelligent design platform of drilling system, From a practical point of view, the design method of drilling system were discussed, using KBE technology which were learn from home and abroad in the field of knowledge-based expert systems, etc, and will be used on the design of drilling system base on research of current situation. Expecting to short the cycle time of the product design through the research, improve the experience and efficiency of designer, so as to reduce cost and improve product design quality, and last provide reliable technical support for the innovation and development of automatic drilling system.After widely collect the knowledge about software and drilling system, intelligent design knowledge base, management and expert systems were built based on their design features; make full use of the existing intelligent design knowledge in acquisition, expression and reasoning strategy, and to establish the method of intelligent design method about automatic drilling system.First, Apply black box design style and modular software design theory to build a simple framework when the Intelligent design platform were modularization and procedures according to the theoretical system of software architecture and design features and process of drilling system.Secondly, apply its expression, acquisition and reasoning mechanisms after the characteristics and operational modes of knowledge to be understood.
