The Study Of Design Strategy Of Traditional Regional Urban Waterfront Space In Wujiang Basin

The traditional waterfront space, playing different roles in the city’s development, is formed in the course of historical development of urban politics, economy, culture and material space and with regional features as a symbol. Recently, with the rapid promotion of urbanization, traditional urban space has been confronted with the great pressure to be reformed. As an unique resource and scare in the urban landscape, waterfront space becomes the first thing to be reformed. In recent update and reformed process, the regional feature of the traditional waterfront space is always ignored or simply be imitated, which fails to reflect the unique natural environment, social culture and the uniqueness of the urban space.Regarding Sinan County in Wujiang basin as a research object, and mainly focusing on the design of Sinan traditional urban waterfront space, the thesis tries to analyze by the evolution of its traditional waterfront space and problems in the construction of modern waterfront space. Combined the methods of field investigation and comparative analysis, and problem-oriented guidance, the thesis discusses and concludes the regional elements of waterfront space with Sinan feature. Finally, it is built as a county, which is not only suitable for history and regional culture, but also the waterfront space with the production and living demands of modern county.The thesis consisting of six chapters studies the design of Sinan’s traditional regional urban waterfront space.Chapter one: It mainly introduces the research background, significance, purpose, the methods, the research achievement and development situation at home and abroad, defines the research concept, decide the research content and outline.Chapter two: it introduces the research background, which mainly analyzes the development situation in Sinan’s traditional waterfront space, discusses the basic situation of Wujiang Basin, analyzes the significance of Wuiiang civilization to the development of Sinan city, and mainly talks that Wujiang rebuilds the waterfront space in Sinan; Secondly, it analyzes the regional elements based on the history of Sinan waterfront space from many aspects, such as the natural geographical environment, economy and technology, transportation condition, humanity society and so on, and analyzes the evolution of Sinan’s traditional waterfront space, which is the basis of the following design strategies.Chapter three: it’s mainly about the arson questions, analyzing and summarizing practical problems of Sinan’s traditional waterfront space. It mainly analyzes the influence on traditional waterfront space by the development of current economy, the status of the current development of waterfront space and its features. It elaborates the roots causing the current difficulties in waterfront space.Chapter four: it mainly aims at deeply analyzing the mentioned questions and elaborates the regional elements of Sinan’ s traditional urban waterfront space. Firstly, it extracts the elements of traditional space, including waterfront trail, revetment, wharf and other water transport facilities, landscape visual corridor and the surrounding environment and so on. Secondly, it studies the key points of Sinan’s waterfront space, including wharf and important historical relics. Thirdly, in order to reflect the elements of traditional space feature, it summarize the regional feature of traditional waterfront space from the following three aspects, the node space, space interface and streets form, and analyzes its significance of construction of modern waterfront space.Chapter five: it is one of the core chapters, mainly solving the questions about the waterfront space in the thesis, and presenting the relative design strategies. Besides the basic principles of the regional design of waterfront space, the thesis mainly focuses on transformation function of traditional waterfront space, the design elements of waterfront space, the changes of transportation structure, the natural environment and the social humanity. It puts forward with the design strategy, which is suitable Sinan’s regional feature, and the need for the construction of the city and the social development. At the same time, it’s also suitable urban space, regional culture environment, and the space requirement for the sustainable development of human and society.Chapter six: By generalizing and summarizing the research, the chapter points out the deficiencies and how the future study can be conducted.
