The Research Of Vernacular Landscape Of Tujia Village In Mountainous Areas Of Yongshun, Xiangxi

This paper did an in-depth study on two villages in Yongshun County of Xiangxi Prefecture based on the national traditional culture and natural environment in Xiangxi mountainous area of Yongshun Tujia villages and combined with documented literature, field research, field mapping.One is “Important Historical Monuments under Special Preservation” Laosicheng,the other is Shuangfeng which has been listed as " the first batch of Chinese traditional villages in the overall protection project ".The thesis consists of six chapters.The first chapter is introduction, introduces the research origin and the research background and expounds the purpose and meaning of research and reviews the relevant researches at home and abroad.This chapter explains perspective and scope of the research and discussed the related research theory,and finally introduces the testing method of this paper, constructs the basic framework of this study;The second chapter summarizes the basic situation of Xiangxi Tujia,mainly related to the development background of Tujia especially the background of Xiangxi Tujia, as well as the definition of specific research object and dthe development situation of the introduction including the preliminary understanding of the natural environment and traditional culture; The third chapter use the view of landscape architecture theory to do an in-depth study on the rural settlement and rural agricultural landscape of Laosicheng and Shuangfeng. And analysis of the characteristics of the region’s vernacular landscape under the influence of national culture; The fourth chapter do a detailed data analysis on the value, perception and resource evaluation of Laosicheng and Shuangfeng based on the previous text. And do a field survey of the local villagers and foreign tourists about the local landscape perception and evaluation of resources; The fifth chapter putforward the protection to the local vernacular landscape based on the change of vernacular landscape and the existing problems under the influence of various factors of Yongshun, Xiangxi. And discuss the local protection measures and suggestions combined with the relevant policies and regulations.Finally, the conclusions drawn in this paper. Under the interaction between the natural environment and the national culture,Vernacular landscape of Tujia Nationality in mountainous area of Yongshun Xiangxi form the special Vernacular landscape pattern mainly made up with vernacular settlement landscape and vernacular agricultural landscape; Study on the site selection, layout, building construction and the relationship with the natural environment can provide practical technology and design concept for the contemporary architecture, landscape and planning,provide suggestions to protect vernacular landscape of Tujia Nationality in mountainous area of Yongshun Xiangxi and provide the reality basis for protecting and developing Tujia culture.This study has obtained certain research results, mainly reflected in the following aspects:First, Vernacular landscape of Tujia villages in Xiangxi Yongshun mountainous areas is consist of the natural landscape, village landscape and agricultural landscape and reflect f national culture.The tujia people according to the local natural environment,production and living to form a complex of landscape, including its elements:1 Natural environment: Xiangxi area’s unique mountain, topography2 Settlement: residential buildings, residential buildings and the ancillary spaces,public buildings, public garden streets, picking between trail;3 Farm: arable land, vegetable garden, fruit trees;4 River: rivers, streams, ponds;5 Other: Well, boardwalk, fishing, etc.Second,Vernacular landscape of Tujia villages in Xiangxi Yongshun mountainous areas is different from other local landscape, urban landscape, and favored by foreign visitors, the related scholars.The value of its own existence is various:① The aesthetic value of local landscape resources;② The social value of the national history;③ The cultural value of national wisdom;④ The ecological value for the optimization of human settlements.Third, in order to protect and inherit the Tujia culture, maintain authentic local landscape, while we pursuit the development of science and technology, Vernacular landscape of Tujia villages in Xiangxi Yongshun mountainous areas should insist on protection-based development.Under the principle of government-led, public participation, rational use and the harmonious development establish the corresponding protection mechanism.
