In China the road construction is advancing rapidly due to the high-speed development of transport. The demand for road materials also increased significantly. But now we are in a situation that the oil resources are exhausted, so the price of the Petroleum asphalt is rising. At the same time, the Petroleum asphalt is not easy to degrade, and the recycling rate of the waste Petroleum asphalt is very low, what worse it cause environmental pollution. In order to make a difference we have do find some sort of substitute or a renewable Green-asphalt The good news is that the Plant-asphalt scale production leads us a new way.Base on plant-based chemical alcohol downstream products, namely the waste vegetable oil refining after the waste, we have got the Plant asphalt. It does not belong to the complexly aromatic-ring compounds. Its main components are plant fatty acids and alcohols, so it has low-carbon, environmentally friendly, and renewable odds. If we are able to use the Plant asphalt to replace part of the Petroleum asphalt, we can not only cut the costs, but also reduce the pollution. Therefore, this study intends to blend different ratio of plant asphalt and oil asphalt to investigate the influence of blending plant asphalt to the performance of oil asphalt and bituminous mixture. so as to estimate its application prospect, providing a basis for the application of plant asphalt in road engineering.This experiment is divided into three parts,the first part mainly investigated plant asphalt mixing effects on performance of asphalt materials; The second part mainly use SHRP related experiments to investigate the effect of plants asphalt on the low temperature performance of matrix asphalt and asphalt viscosity; The third part focuses on adding asphalt plants affect the road performance of bituminous mixture.Firstly, this study conducts three indexes experiment on the different blending proportion of mixed asphalt at different temperature. The result shows that the plant asphalt can obviously improve high temperature stability and low temperature cracking resistance of NO.90 asphalt, while reducing the temperature susceptibility. Then according to penetration retention rate and softening point increment of mixing asphalt aging experiments, the study finds that plant asphalt can improve the anti-aging performance of NO.90 asphalt. However, the long-term aging aspects influence is not very obvious.Secondly, when conducts low temperature bending beam rheometer experiment on the different blending proportion of mixed asphalt, The result shows that the plant asphalt makes the stress relaxation properties and crack resistance of NO.90 asphalt better. Then according to Block Field viscometer drawing asphalt viscosity-temperature curve, the mixing and compaction temperatures of mixing asphalt gradually increased with increasing amount of blending plant asphalt,and all conform to the requirement of specification.Finally, using the established mixing and compaction temperature, contrast road performance trends of mixing asphalt mixture in the same oil-stone ratio and mineral aggregate gradation. The experiment find that when the plant asphalt reached more than 10%,the Marshall specimen performance decline,and the result does not meet the requirement of specification. In terms of the current situation, the admixture of plant asphalt should be controlled below 10% at current oil-stone ratio, which not only can ensure its road performance,but also can ensure the economic benefits.
