Power industry is a fundamental industry that concerns the national economy and people’s livelihood. With the development of social community, the operating reliability and the level of power conservation and emission reduction of power industry is becoming more and more important. The government has proposed some policies to put forward higher request to the electric power enterprise. To improve the core competence, electric power enterprise should renovate the existing generation units to adapt this situation. The project management of the units’ reconstruction is not standard, which is different with the standard maintenance. The experience of normal maintenance cannot be applied, so how to short the time of the units’ reconstruction and optimize the resource allocation has become the focus of electric power enterprise.This paper illustrates the project process planning and schedule optimization of the reconstruction of a system of generation units, which is coal pulverizing system in boiler. Through the study of project schedule management theory, the work is started form the work breakdown to network planning, network time parameters, and key lines. Then, the resource is optimized in the schedule considering the restriction of resources, and the goal of minimum reconstruction time and balance of resource is achieved on condition of the limit of resources.This paper constructs a kind of standard about schedule planning, scheduling optimization and rational allocation of resources of the generation units’ reconstruction project, which is of reference value to the guide and advance for the reconstruction project of electrical enterprise.
