Research On Locomotive Motor Maintenance Workshop Facilities Layout On The SLP Theory

With the market-oriented reform of railway system, the traditional railway companies will face new opportunities and challenges. Diesel engine manufacturing enterprises need to find a breakthrough point to adapt to the development of the market. In the current environment, some diesel locomotive repair company open up new markets, expand business from Dc locomotive electric car to AC locomotive, and also actively develop electric locomotive market. However, the capacity of original locomotive electric maintenance workshop cannot match the company’s production program. Therefore, a project of capacity expansion renovation arises.This paper make capacity expansion renovation of the locomotive electric maintenance workshop as the research object, from the basic theory of SLP, elaborate the content 、meaning、elements of the workshop layout,and studied all stages of systematic layout planning.Based on the SLP theory, this paper described the status workshop layout, and carefully analyzed the representative products process of the locomotive electric maintenance workshop. The layout factors are elaborated according to basic elements of system arrangement theory. Then, this paper analyzed logistic relations, non-logistic relations, facilities requirements,and come up with an original scheme.On the basis of the principles of facility layout design and the actual constraint factors, two primary solutions are obtained. After the selection, this paper combined analysis from two dimensions of area utilization and logistics cost with analysis using weighted factor method, made comprehensive score of two primary solutions, and chose the better solution. According to previous experience of production,this paper analyzed the most prominent bottleneck using the bottleneck analysis theory and method and came out a bottleneck optimization solution. Then, applied optimization the solution to the new workshop layout, put forward the optimal solution on the basis of bottleneck solutions and system layout, and complete the final detail layout of the workshop.Practice shows that the systematic layout planning in expansion of locomotive electric maintenance workshop project are confirmed to have a certain reference and guidance to other workshops of the company. It also make up the working method which relies on experience rather than combining theory with practice. This analysis method can transform former vulgar management to elaborating management mode, thus be promoted during the transformation and upgrading of company’s management mode.
