With the rapid development of social progress and technology, the theory and methods of schedule management become more and more sophisticated. However, the offshore oil platform project management is a complex systematic engineering, such as project complexity, relatively long time, many resources needed to control, it’s great significant for offshore oil platforms building to carry out applied research of project progress and significant resource management. Offshore oil platform project schedule planning is played a very important role in the progress of the project management, which is a key step of the entire project management. Therefore, it’s particularly important to carry out the project planning study.There are a small number of offshore oil platform constructions in China, and project management experience is not only poor but also is still in its infancy. With the gradual increase in the number of offshore oil platform construction, it is great significant for accelerating the construction of offshore oil platforms to carry out project management research, especially the schedule management of offshore oil platform project. Consequently, this thesis is to systematically analyze the management processes, methods of schedule planning as well as management processes and methods, and explore the problems and their solutions of the schedule management so as to provide a practical way for schedule management of offshore oil platform project, on the basis of Suizhong 36-1 oilfield project phase Ⅱ.To achieve the research objectives, literature analysis, work breakdown structure (WBS), Gantt charts and critical path method are to be carried out in thesis:1) The basic theory and management methods of project schedule management planning and management are to be analyzed. Besides, the problems and solutions which are faced in the offshore oil platform project schedule management are to be explored.2) The WBS, Gantt charts and critical path method are to be applied in the Suizhong 36-1 oilfield project phase II.3) Offshore oil platform project behind schedule status, causes and countermeasures arc to be explored and project schedule management experience and lessons are also to be summarized of Suizhong 36-1 oilfield project phase II.In summary, the project schedule management study of Suizhong 36-1 phase Ⅱ oilfield offshore oil platforms has provided valuable experience for offshore oil platform projects and established a good foundation of theory and practice for improving the follow-up schedule management level of oilfield offshore oil platforms project.
