In recent years, with the development of smart grid, there’s new requirement to reliability and intelligentization of Power System. To be the most important control element, Circuit breaker, which reliability and intelligentization is the basic for electrical equipment intelligentization. Besides three-level protection and grounding protection of intelligent Circuit breaker, it also has accurate measurement capability, thorough protection capability and great maintenance capability, as well as communication capability. Currently, the most popular Bus technology of industrial control system used domestic and overseas, adopt cable channel to transfer mainly, such as Modbus、Profibus、Device Net、CAN, ect. However, wiring difficulty exists in many industrial application, so that it’s difficult to transfer data via cable channel. Therefore, it’s very significant to use wireless communication technique to transfer data via wireless network for site plant.This paper focus on the intelligent controller of low voltage circuit breaker, fully combined with the development strength of both microelectronics and computer technology, deeply study the controller on measurement、protection、communications and other technology, and offer the execution program with the soft-hard definition. First of all, hardware design can provide solution for the process module which use series microprocessor as it core processor(32 DSC chip)、 signal acquisition system、 process module、 I/O module、 power module、 Zig Bee communication module, so all this can secure a precise measurement, protection function and Zig Bee wireless communications; Second of all, regarding software design, they give a introduction to the different sorts of microprocessor algorithms and give a modular design thinking and the design procedure for all the sub programs; at last, ensuring intelligent Circuit breaker work reliably in various environments, they improve intelligent controller software and hardware design to enhance electromagnetic compatibility.According to the principles described in this article, they make the testing prototypes which can secure a precise measurement and perfect protection function, also achieve a wireless communication function.Using this intelligent circuit breaker, not only to strengthen its measurement and protection function, but also to achieve its wireless networking,which greatly facilitates its use in communication industrial control systems.After testing the prototype, the performance indicators meet the design requirements,and better than the current products. This products have good market competitiveness, can obtain a good social and economic value for enterprise.
