Research On The Style And Feature Of The Historical Districts Around Chaohu Lake Area Based On The Theory Of The Image Of The City

Historical district is the historical mark of years, integrating material cultural heritage and intangible one. It keeps having a profound and effect on historical studies after depression and prosperity of centuries. As an important component of town function and townscape, historic district is an all-in-one carrier with elements of traditional style and feature, in addition, have an effect on organizing traffic flow availablyand contacting functional partitions with others. As aform of external space, its role is carrying residents of economic activities and the stage of cultural life in socity. As the leading element of city imagination, historical district is the major means. Take it as research objectsIn this paper, the historical district, features of the historical district and city image theory are analyzed deeply, by reviewing domestic and international literatures. With the extension of city image theory and related research methods, by understanding the noumenal, social and economic value of historical district, the elements system of special features of historical districet is built. The article takes the historical districts around Chaohu Lake area as research objects, studies their style and features from image space cognitive view by collecting cognitive maps and evaluation of space by compound analysis.For image space cognition, applicating of interview survey method and cognitive map method, the article investigates the perception of space image of the historical districts around Chaohu Lake area, finding out the difference between the comnitive maps and the practical maps.For the evaluation of space, using an entry point that spatial structure, elements and characteristics of the historical districts around Chaohu Lake area, the article analyzes and evaluates the factors of their features,In spatial experience evaluation ways, with its space structure, components, such as morphological characteristics as the breakthrough point, a detailed analysis and evaluation of chaohu historical block landscape elements:material culture elements (edges, area, road, nodes, landmarkers, architectural style), intangible cultural elements, summed up the characteristics of landscape elements, the positioning of historical block landscape features. In order to development of historical block protection and space planning practices provide the design basis, historical and cultural inheritance and carry forward the ring chaohu lake region, improve the space awareness of historical block.
