Research On Design Of Urban Waterfront Based On Bird Habitat Repair

Urban waterfront, a certain area in the city which connects the water and the land, is a good choice for tourism. The land-water ecotone is an abundant supply of biological resources for bird inhabitating. However, with the development of urbanization, urban waterfront became destroyed, along with water pollution, ecosystem degradation, habitat loss. Birds in the waterfront have become the victim of urbanism, faced with the threat of habitat loss.On the purpose of bird habitat restoration, this article has proposed a bird habitat restoration and touring facilities design stragety, via an in-depth study on behavior of bird in the waterfront of Zhejiang province.The key research results are as follows:(1)The article proposes the design disciplines in the urban waterfont based on the study of bird habitat in the waterfront of Zhejiang province. And the restoration stragety contains water system design, ecological revetment design and waterfront phytocoenosium design.(2)Propose waterfront building, bird viewing facilities, lighting and some other facilities design stragety, on the purpose of interference reduction and birds protection consciousness strengthening.(3)Propose bird protecting stragety in the aspects of water system design, bankshore design, ecological island design, ecological revetment design and waterfront phytocoenosium design, in the phase II Xianghu lakeshore landscaping project.
