Study On Ecological Farm Design Under Permaculture Theory

Because of reducing the cost of landscape design, providing food and building idyllic scenery, productive landscape enjoys great popularity. With the emerging of environment problem in city area and chemical fertilizer and pesticide pollution problem of productive landscape itself, its promotion to large area and quality of its production are both influenced. Hence permaculture under sustainable cultivate idea for productive landscape application is of great significance.Productive landscape in Australia widely adopted form of permaculture farm which is based on permaculture. It is not only an effective way to solve soil violation from agriculture, but also a complicated farm system design applying various ecological principles. And this complicated farm system involves integration and utilization of elements, such as terrian in the zone, micreclimate, and water to improve energy using efficiency, layout every zone by applying edge effect priciple, layout orchard, composite forest and farm under biodiversity theory, the principle of leguminous’ nitrogen fixation and natural succession,and layout animal fodder system and give full play to the principle that one element to various purpose.This article uses permaculture idea for reference, applying its design method to Yimei Ecological Agriculture Base in Dali. This project is next to Cangshan and Erhai National nature reserve, and the evironment is very sensitive. The non-point source pollution of chemical fertilizers and pesticides on the original site has already threatened to Erhai wetland and Mei brook. Therefore this study aims to solve these evironmental problem by permaculture methods, recover ecosystem health of the site and Erhai, and explores a sustainable productive landscape design strategy. And the content consists of designing compound orchard, farm, flower field and forest system to form the main part of productive landscape; designing animal fodder system, at the same time a small zoo in landscape archetecture, by analyzing animals’ life habit; designing canal-type water according to the shape and characteristic of high-production pond; making an overal plan based on the using frequency of every zone, include bypass, dam, ditch and rainwater garden, and bringing Mei brook in, purifying it by plants in all levels of water garden. and to make it flow into Erhai when up to the standard. Eventually, this article has explored a form of ecological farm applying to evironmental sensitive project.
