Research On The Evaluation Of Provincial Urban Space Growth Potential From The Perspective Of Digital City

Urban space growth potential is being widely discussed as an issue of urban development. Along with our country into a period of transition, urban spatial growth conditions become more complex, and then it needs a new scientific method to evaluate and judge the potential of urban space growth. This study focused on the index method of the provincial urban space growth potential evaluation. The main problems of prior similar research include the deviation caused by potential evaluation index selection and unpredictability of future potential evaluation. In addition, the results of evaluation could not guide practice well. In this paper, by using the latest technology and theory methods of digital city, the study has constructed a set of provincial urban spatial growth potential evaluation system with GIS-DEA digital regional model method as the core of it, which solved the problem that the previous way cannot solve. Firstly, we refer to the digital city decision support model and put forward a digital regional evaluation model concretely. Secondly, the idea has been changed into specific evaluation logic and method, and by establishing the logic of evaluation, we converted the problem of urban space growth potential into a well expressed concept of potential growth rate. Then it established a comprehensive theoretical model (including the theory model of provincial urban land scale effective growth, the theory model of provincial urban space growth sustainable intrinsic power, and potential effective growth theory model). And then, in accordance with the requirements of mathematical expression of potential effective growth theory model, it chose the evaluation index and constructed GIS-DEA digital regional evaluation model method as the main evaluation methods. Finally, based on the theoretical model, it elaborated the application process, system embed mode of the method and the evaluation system with this core method. The research selected fourteen cities in Yunnan Province as an example, made an empirical research of the evaluation system which was constructed before, evaluated space growth potential of these cities and expressed the results in the form of urban growth speed. Meanwhile, it compared the evaluation result with the contents of Yunnan urban system planning and Kunming urban overall planning, and also made a description of the application working in urban construction management operation and effectiveness of the application, which finally made the effectiveness of the methods stand out more clearly. The empirical research shows:based on the way of digital city technology and growth logic evaluation, the application of evaluation results become more intuitive and have more directivity.
