China’s urbanization development speed continues to accelerate,forwhich a new paradigm is emerging in multi-dimensional of high density,high intensity,high speed,super height and large scale.The disorderly and extensive spread of urban space expansion has led to a series of ecological problems such as the destruction of natural resources,the pollution of ecological environment and the reduction of biodiversity.With the gradual decline of urban ecological carrying capacity,the government has put forward the new requirements for land and space planning.Urban development is facing the process of transformation from pursuing growth rate to improving urban environment.Scientific control of urban growth boundary is the key to solve the problem of disordered urban expansion.In this context,this paper takes Zhengzhou City,which has a rapid urban development,as the research object.This paper is to identify the ecological source based on the multi factor superposition,to build the ecological security pattern based the minimum cumulative resistance model(MCR),and to simulate the growth of urban space under the constraints of different levels of ecological security.Finally,delimit the urban growth border from the perspective of coordinating the balance between ecological protection and urban development.The results are as follows:The number of ecological sources in Zhengzhou is relatively small,with an area of about 711.16km~2,accounting for only 9.3% of the total area of the study domain.These regions mainly are distributed in Songshan-Fuxishan Mountains,Daxiongshan-Juci Mountains,Yellow River Nature Reserve,Yiluo River Section,Dengfeng Baisha Reservoir,Zhifang Reservoir,Yinghe River,Yanming Lake Wetland in the east,and a large area of woodland in Bagang Township of Zhongmu.The ecological security pattern of Zhengzhou city is constructed based on the MCR model and comprehensive assessment of the source area about the spatial resistanc.The result shows that the low-level ecological security pattern covers about an area of 1356.10km~2,accounting for 17.8% of the total area.It spreads outward around the ecological source aera;The high-level ecological security pattern covers about an aera of 1735.50km~2,accounting for 22.7% of the total area,which is more suitable for urban development and construction to a certain extent.The Markov-Geosos model is used to conduct multi-scenario simulation of urban development under the constraints of different levels of ecological security.The area in differnnt conditions from the result is 2545.96km~2 without constraints,2524.70km~2 under the ecological maintenance,2452.87km~2 under the ecological protection and2379.49km~2 under the strong ecological constraints.The comparative analysis of the simulation results of the development of the multi scenario city reveals that the landscape has good connectivity,high aggregation and low fragmentation under the condition of ecological maintenance.While the landscape has high aggregation,good homogeneity and low fragmentation under the condition of ecological protection.The overall landscape patterns under these two are good conditions Therefore,in the future planning of comprehensive ecological protection and urban development,the development pattern under the condition of ecological maintenance or ecological protection can be selected as a good reference model.
