Blade parts are key components of the power equipment, such as aerospace, shipping andelectric. The efficiency and life of power plants, such as aircraft engine and turbine, isdetermined by their modeling and surface processing quality level.But because a lot of bladeparts surface is complex space surface, it is difficult to model and process of programming.This article from the perspective of application,based on a certain type aircraft engine asan object blade,special modeling and NC machining module is developed by Secondarydevelopment tools of UG. The blade quick modeling and CNC programming are implemented.The CLSF which generated NC machining module is post processing and verified. Machiningprecision is ensured. The main research content is the follows:(1) The human-computer interface is implemented by using UG/Open MenuScriptdevelopment of the application menu.(2) Rapid modeling module of blade parts is developed. Data files of blade model is readby UG/Open Grip. Blade surface modeling, rafter plate modeling and joint modeling isimplemented, thus blade automatic modelling is implemented.(3) Blade machining process is researched and CAM module of blade parts isimplemented.The tools is formed by using UG/Open Grip,reasonable processing parameters isset, blade machining cutter location source file is generated.(4) Post processing algorithm of Five-axis nc machine tools with rotary head and tableand tools feed speed is researched, UG cutter location source file format is analyzed. Specialpost processor of Five-axis NC machining tools center, XKH400A, is compiled in the VBenvironment, NC code is generated.(5) Blade virtual machining is researched. Machine tool model is created, tools isgenerated, the processing coordinate system is set, blade blank is added,the NC code isimported and NC machining simulation is performed by using VERICUT software. Processingresults and model is compared, so over cut and low cut is avoided.
