In order to reduce the tedious work of the geometric modeling, meshing and structural post processing about finite element analysis. In this paper, the PCL language was used to develop the assistant modeling system of the monochord side bulk carriers. This system was developed by applying the techniques of the parametric finite element modeling, which was based on the similarity to the structure of monochord side bulk carriers. In order to check the fatigue and improve the efficiency of finite element modeling on the hatch corners of the large ships, the oval hatch corners automatic partitioning system was developed, and the hot spots stress fatigue analysis of the hatch corner with different sizes and thickness are calculated by applying this system. It is drawn the conclusion that the fatigue life of hatch corner is influenced by its size and thickness. In this paper, a ship board local permanent deformation damage modeling program was also developed and combined with the DSA tools which was developed by the China Classification Society,a308,000t oil tanker redundancy was calculated. Finally, in order to supply the lack of post-processing functions in Patran about the maximum stress, the system of extraction results is developed. All of the maximum stress of the hull structure can be output in one time for every working condition of each stress direction. The efficiency of engineers is significantly improved on the data processing.
