The research of oil mist agglomeration mechanism is reflected by the effect of agglomerate nozzle. This paper makes some explorations in theory research, FLUENT simulation and experiment. This paper first analyzes oil mist particles-wall collision theory and oil mist particles collision-agglomeration theory, to get the conclusion that Weber number is an important standard of oil mist particles’agglomeration. Also the movement velocity of oil mist particles is an important factor which affects the size of Weber number. Then through FLUENT software, oil mist particles’ movement in different structure agglomerate nozzle is simulated. Finally, this paper gets the primary and secondary order of the three factors which influence the effect of agglomerate nozzle by the orthogonal experiment. The final conclusion obtained through above work is stated as follows:(1) After three different structure agglomerate nozzle is simulated, it could be concluded that the agglomeration effect of the ladder type nozzle is the best, followed by the orthogonal nozzle, and the worst is the common nozzle, according to the variation figure of particle size. From figure of particle size, figure of velocity and figure of pressure, it is known that the velocity of particle influence the size change of particle more, because the size of particle increase with the increasing of particle’s velocity.(2) According to the analysis of three orthogonal experiments, the experimental results show that, with the pressure of oil mist increasing, the agglomeration rate of nozzle is falling constantly. The diameter of slot is the most important factor influencing the rate of agglomerate nozzle, followed by the length of slot, and the last factor is the material. When the pressure of oil mist is10KPa, the agglomeration rate of whole nozzle is the highest, and the range of three factors has a better gradient to distinguish the primary factor and the secondary factor. So in practical applications, the oil mist pressure at the entrance of agglomerate nozzle should be kept at10KPa in order to achieve a better agglomeration effect.
