Shi Jing ancient village is the first batch of one of the traditional village to participate in nati onal registries, at the present stage of our country’s traditional village planning and construction of theory and technology of research often give priority to with model of historic and cultural vill age. Although there are commonness between them, different geographic conditions, natural env ironment and cultural environment, basic conditions and other factors determine the differences.Due to backward economic development, bad basic condition; to protect the village can not solve the problem simply. This article as the practice of research on the planning and construction, obtain the sustainable development of the village on the basic of the protection. In order to achieve the research goal, use multi-disciplinary theory, through the basic research ideas include the present situation investigation, problem analysis and put forward countermeasures and explore practice; using the combination of field investigation and statistical analysis, villagers’participation, and suitability exploration research methods. Based on the status of rural settlement problems, this dissertation discusses the development of the ancient village planning and construction of green updated design strategies. First of all, investigate the present situation of the village in-depth. Through the investigation of the pattern of rural human settlements, house space and residential construction and present situation, clear the common problems of the status and the urgent need to solve the key problem.Due to local economic development imbalance led to the development of traditional dwellings arts and culture and spread didn’t get much attention, this system caused a great impact on construction of residential. It changed the traditional local-style dwelling houses building, residential construction blindly follow the example of urban building. At the same time because of the change of the mode of production and living, the function of the traditional dwellings of the original form already can’t satisfy people’s needs. And the requirements of the villagers spontaneously improve their living conditions, the traditional local-style dwelling houses of updated green design is the necessary trend of development. Based on the local traditional technology and mode of production and life is an important way for traditional dwellings update design. This article contraposes Shi Jing traditional village, on the basis of in-depth research, by analyzing the factors influencing the climate in the evolution of the traditional dwellings, economic factors and geographical conditions, explored for the construction of new homes for contemporary rural society, economy, culture, environment background of the traditional technology such as modern development strategy. Put forward reasonable economic, ecological green implementation plan, in order to improve the living environment conditions, thus promote the technical adaptability exploring to the Shi Jing mountain Bai villagers.
