Belt conveyor is widely used in mines and pier because of its advantages,such as its large conveying capacity, long transmission distance, low operating costs, simple structure, less investment, easy automatic control realization, safe and reliable. Belt conveyor used in distance transportation usually chooses truss structure. Therefore, the research of belt conveyor truss structure system is particularly important, its structural design and bearing capacity will affect the performance of the whole machine and manufacturing cost.This paper establishes the three-dimensional model of steel truss structure of the belt conveyor of ore terminal in SolidWorks2012. Then the model is simplified to be a calculation diagram of plane truss. According to the mechanics analysis and calculation, the bearing capacity of the truss is determined; Used ANSYS software, the finite element model of space truss is built. After grid division, the equivalent node load applied to the corresponding node of space truss, got the figure of the truss’ s deformation, the equivalent displacement nephogram and equivalent stress nephogram before and after,judging whether the strength and stiffness of the truss is in the scope of the permission; Finally, the three-dimensional model diagram used for steel truss structure of large belt conveyor is converted to two-dimensional engineering graphics in the SolidWorks software, and the function of communication engineering drawing in CAD software is realized.This paper which researches the ore terminal belt conveyor steel truss structure provides data reference and optimization for later related wharf steel structure design of belt conveyor, especially for the steel structure which is applied to ore terminal of large belt conveyor. Overall, this paper can improve the efficiency of design. And it also has certain value in engineering application.
