DX-type steel-cord belt conveyor is a high intensity belt conveyor, which has large capacity, long-distance transport, reliable performance and long life.It is widely used in related area, for example, mine, metallurgy, port, dock. Steel-cord belt conveyor has become important transport machinery with the rapid economic development and continuous improvement of industrial technology.The drawing technology for steel-cord belt conveyor can not be enough with widely used. The early drawings are drawn by hand, it develops into computer drawing by hand operation after a period of time, the two methods are not adapted for modern trends because longer period drawing, low efficiency and Heavy workload, we must replace the traditional drawing by an efficient method to meet the needs of enterprises.The issue is research for parameter drawing of DX-type steel-cord belt conveyor, it is after the work about automatic selection of DX-type steel-cord conveyor and the accuracy design.In this paper, the design of the system uses modular design, which has clear structure. The system is divided into the database module and the drawing module, in each of the major module consists of small modules with different functions. The database module, which records dimension data of all parts for belt conveyor, can be stored and read for drawing easily; The drawing module read the design for belt conveyor and analysis the design, drawing the graphic modules, select and combine all modules with actual demand.This system is based on the parametric drawing technology, using Visual Basic 6.0 programming language, established dimension database by Microsoft Access and based on AutoCAD for secondary development by VBA, divide the drawing into multiple modules, design the drawing program with programming language to achieve the graphics drawing of all modules and combine all modules, achieves parametric design on graphic for DX-type belt conveyor and design of program for parametric drawing, this program can complete blueprint drawing in short time.This system need compile parameter drawing programs for nearly 30 different design working conditions, in addition to build the enormous database for parts size which can be gained by parameter drawing programs.The system can not only improve drawing quality and Shorten the drawing time, but also decrease the labor intensity and improve drawing efficiency, which can bring considerable economic benefits for DX-type belt conveyor production companies.
