Pipe belt conveyor as an environmentally friendly continuousconveying equipment, it gradually attracted the attention of nationaleconomic walks of life. It is more and more widely used in port, metallurgy,electric power, petrochemical industry and so on. It is used to transport coal,mineral power, pyrite dross and other granular materials. Pipe belt conveyortruss beam structure is the main supporting structure for materials. Its weightis about1/3~1/2to the whole weight of the conveyor, its cost is nearly halfof the total amount, so its design, manufacture and performance will directlyaffect the performance and cost of the whole pipe belt conveyor.This paper counter the specificity of the pipe belt conveyor truss beamstructure, combined with the analysis and calculation method of ordinarytruss structure, use the finite element analysis software ANSYS to analyzeits structure. Analysis various forms of its loads, and calculate it. Thenconclude the recursion formula of the truss beam internal force. Analysis thelateral force caused by the belt tension in the horizontal bending truss beam,get the magnitude of the lateral force and mode action of the lateral forceto the truss beam structure.Use the method of finite element analysis to analysis the typical straightsegment and horizontal bending segment of the pipe belt conveyor trussbeam in a project. Use the APDL language to establish its finite elementparametric model, combined with the actual working conditions to have itsstatic analysis, checking the strength and stiffness of the truss beam.Use the finite element soft ware ANSYS to make the dynamic modalanalysis, have proceed its six steps natural frequency and model shape of thestructure are obtained. And finally we find the strength and stiffness are inthe black by the static analysis results. Then we use the structureoptimization module of ANSYS to optimize its structure, has declined thequality of the entire truss beam.And decline the quality and cost of the trussbeam in the same time meet the requirement. The research has certain guiding significance for the engineering.
