Now the rapid city makes people gradually strengthened the protection concept ofthe city, how to actively the conservation and renewal of City Historic District, hasbecome the focus of attention of the industry. In the historical blockprotection, commercial pedestrian street because of its impact on the smaller ofhistoric blocks and lucrative commercial return, has become more popular indomestic practice. Qingdao Zhongshan Road historic district is a microcosm of thedevelopment of Qingdao City,in which a large number of different formsof historical buildings, the better to preserve the historical style and features canbetter represent the domestic historical block,very typical. The pedestrianstreet design of its business are expounded, in order to obtain the general methodsand standards to solve this kind of problem.In this paper, through the characteristic, analytic historical and commercialpedestrian street of the law of development, combined with domestic and internationalrelated theories and successful cases, from the regional featuresbuilding, consumption space of the building, walk street vitality creation, humanizeddesign four aspects,summarizes the historical districts commercial pedestrian streetdesign principles and methods, and the use of them in the Qingdao ZhongshanRoad commercial pedestrian street design project.The features of this paper are as follows:1a systematic analysis of the historicand commercial pedestrian street of the characteristics and laws, that of combining thetwo meanings from the2methods of historic blocks; the commercial walk street frommultiple perspectives are discussed, the method is more comprehensive theory;3, putthe theory into practice, to make the theory practical significance.
