Investment to infrastructure increases along comprehensive power ofChina growing up, the quantity of large scale projects rises day be day, somass concrete applications are soaring. Because integrity requirements tomass concrete is high, construction technology of concrete is also high. Thehydration heat of concrete accumulates inside the structure is not easy toemit, which forms large temperature difference of center and surface andcauses shrinkage cracks on concrete surface. In order to settle the problem,deep research to cracking mechanism, cracking development, assessmentcriteria and cracking control methods is necessary. The paper takes thefoundation slab of Jinan Henglong Square as the example of large concreteto research construction quality control technology of large concreteprojects.As shown during engineering practice: There must be properconstruction technology and reasonable construction scheme beforecommencement of large concrete structure; both crack quantity and hazardrating of large concrete occurred during construction is far more greaterthan cracks occurred during application of the structure, so it is veryimportant to control crack for construction quality of large concrete. Thekey researched in this paper is how to control and avoid cracks appeared onlarge concrete.Based on research results both here and abroad, the paper analyzesthe definition of large concrete, concludes the kinds of cracks and thecracking mechanism, and explores the technical measures from materialselection, control measures during construction, control measures duringdesign, temperature control measures and so on. According to the researchachievement and practical situation of Jinan Henglong Square, thetemperature control solution for large concrete slab is made along with dataanalysis, the control measures from raw material, mix proportion, additives,construction technology and so on in order to guarantee smooth progress of the project, and obtain good crack control.The research results of the paper have important engineeringpractical value. The suggestions in this paper can be used for reference forsimilar projects in future.
