Railway is the lifeblood of the national develop of economy, the railway crane is the guarantee of railway operation. With the rapid development of national economy, railway development in our country also grew significantly. In recent years, the high speed railway has become the main type of the train operation, the widespread implementation and development of railway construction has become the steps necessary to China’s modernization progress. There is a lot of pressure of the railway due to the development of railway transportation, the safety monitoring devices of the railway crane should be more safety and reliability. Therefore, the railway rescue crane moment limiter for installation safety monitoring is inevitable. At present, the torque limiter installed on China railway rescue crane has relatively backward performance. It is not able to a full range of monitoring, and it has failed to keep pace with the modern railway development steps. In the future, the railway rescue crane will not only handle derailment accident, also monitor the parameters of the system. People will apply new technology to the development of torque limiter, it is becoming more intelligent and humanization.This topic is based on crane moment limiter algorithm at domestic and broad. By understanding the gap of torque limiter at domestic and broad, this paper elaborated the research significance and the content. Through in-depth understanding of the crane, I mastered the basic knowledge of the crane. And then through the crane boom kinematics analysis of basic problems, simplify boom model, after adopting the principle of moment balance the actual load is deduced. Introduction of curve fitting is one of the most commonly used the method of least squares fitting out of the crane range the actual load equation at different operating conditions under the rated load of the crane amplitude equation. A mathematical model using Matlab and jib magnitude relationship with rated load simulation analysis. By selecting the EPEC2024controller, using the CoDeSys software platform to write programs, realized the algorithm of railway rescue crane moment limiter.By the research of the torque limiter algorithm completed all the requirements of the function, while it increases the precision of the system, improve the operation safely of railway crane.
