The railway rescue crane is an interdisciplinary synthesis of mechanical、electrical、 communications technology, which can finish rescue task quickly under lots of complicated environment. At this present, the technology of railway rescue crane lags behind other developed countries. Less advanced cranes of electro-hydraulic control were imported from abroad which were not easy to be maintained. In this situation, we should study other foreign advanced technology of the crane structure, manufacture and control technology to design a new railway rescue crane which will reach to the international advanced level and with low cost. It has a great significance.In this paper, according to the control requirements of lifting rescue work, I designed the electrical control circuit,, the main circuit supply power to the whole the machine, control circuit provide DC24V power for controller and manual control switch, auxiliary circuit supply power to the ancillary equipment such as lighting, air conditioning. I choose the hardware and connected each part, then assigned the ports of controller. The software flow chart and the program designed by the control demand. The main programming work was in the down part of control system. The control system is powered by diesel engine. Each sensor, switch, keyboard, handle, such input signals will transmit to EPEC2024controller by CAN bus and judge by controller. Meanwhile it output signal to drive the action of actuator. The control program download to the controller is designed by CoDeSys software. According to requirements of the control loop, each module subroutine run once more than limit.Moment limiter will output signal to stop dangerous operation and we can use emergency switch to reach to further ensure security. Electronic control system was designed to the driver’s operating habits at ordinary times. The leg automatic leveling and automatic curve of balance function are good to use.Electro-hydraulic proportional control scheme of electric control system adopts to the narrow space, curve line and contact line which works well and steadily in the condition. It’s operation is simple and easy to maintain or read information which improves the ability and safety of railway rescue crane.
