Abstract:Telescopic crane was a kind of mobile cranes, widely used in all areas of national economic construction. The load limiter played a core role in the safety monitoring system of crane, directly affected the crane operation safety. With the operation safety and reliability of the telescopic crane was becoming higher and higher, the precision demanding of the load limiter was increasingly higher. In this paper, we conducted related research on the core algorithm and the realization method of the load limiter on the telescopic crane.Systematic studied the development and current research situation of the load limiter on the telescopic crane in domestic and overseas. Based on the analysis results of the working principle of the load limiter on the telescopic crane,the regression model of rated lifting performance was established, In addition, we further researched the torque core algorithm of the load limiter.Combined with the stress analysis of the telescopic crane boom, the torque calculation model of crane based on luffing cylinder’s pressure was established, and proposed a new algorithm of main boom weight calibration. Importantly, we researched the deformation compensation algorithm of the telescopic arm, and carried out simulation studies to the algorithm by using matlab to verify the feasibility.At the same time, We researched the neural network applied to the torque calculation of the telescopic crane, compared the prediction errors among pure BP neural networks genetic algorithm and particle swarm optimized BP neural network. The results showed that the particle swarm optimized BP neural network had good fitting capability to the load limiter algorithm model, and the prediction error was controlled within3%in trained neural network.Constructed the hardware platform of the load limiter based on DSP, used CodeWarrior integrated exploitation environment for the software platform, we developed corresponding DSP program to the mainframe controller, and completed the exploitation of man-machine interface on the load limiter monitor.We developed data collector system based on LabviEW, and conducted a series of experiment researches by using the experiment platform of Sunward SWTC50telescopic crane. All results suggested that the accuracy of the established algorithm model, based on the luffing cylinder’s pressure, accord with the GB12602-2009national standard in the overload protection device of crane, and laid a foundation for further engineering application.
