Study On The Residential Area Of Landscape That Is Suitable For Elderly People Behavior Mental Demand

According to the National Bureau of Statistics, as of the end of2011, China’s60-year-old and older has reached1.85billionof the problems facing our society endowment, but also many aspects of the community will be relatively affected. I think that the six "old" in the sense of security, the housing problem is fundamental. It is also the reason why we cannot move forward. The research topic is that under the rapid growth of such an old base in the social context, how our residents can use sustainable methods to adapt to the rapid changes in this elderly population so that we can find a way of meeting their demand of life quality. There are several theories being built, such as psychology in the elderly, the elderly physiology, ergonomics, urban residential landscape under the background of socialism. By understanding the social problems led by rapid growth of elderly population in China, our model of raising old people and the existing shelter issues, analyzing the indicators and characteristics of all aspects of the old population and their Chinaphysiological and psychological needs, we can come up with an theory which meets our specific needs of residential landscape designing.In order to finish the research of the basic of status of residential Area and collect the existing problem, I successively visited several residents during the period of beginning to middle of year2012and gain an understanding of difference and inadequacies needs of elderly people at all levels. There are many problems about living surrounding, such as lacking of public services, recreational facilities and no proper places for them to socialize. Also the system of providing services to them has not been well established and many accessibility constructions are not there yet. It is found that the lack of accessible design, such as the basic building entrances, rest seats next to wheelchair, the ramp for elderly and disability people, not enough visible sign in the residential area, the designing which can reflect the elderly’s needs of physiology needs even more.The activities of the elderly increases with age reduced year by year, is the natural law of life. Activities for the elderly, social networking sites, therefore, the corresponding service facilities and convenient and safe living conditions that make the elderly can enjoy old age, enjoy the country, the society to give life to ensure, is in urban residential areas landscape design should not be ignored important issues. While the current demographic situation in China, the rate of growth of the elderly population of the resolution of this issue elevated to new heights.
