Design And Expression Of The "Scholar’s Four Jewels" National Product Quality Supervision And Inspection Center

Taking the project of national product quality supervision and inspection center ofscholar’s four jewelsμ as the starting point，the design problems are considered, and the keyissues are summarized in this paper. Including how to deal with the relationship between thebuilding and the base,how to translate culture connotation through architectural forms，andhow to express design intent using the materials effectively. By studying relevant theoreticalknowledge, and analyzing practical case, the coping strategy is summarized.By analyzing theproject, the operability of the strategy is tested.First of all，Taking the relationship of architecture and base，ground form，handling andphysical performance as theoretical basis，by analyzing examples and considering theparticularity of high-rise building, the characteristic of the ground form of high-rise building,and how to make high-rise building to coordinate with multi-storey building,are presented inthis paper. It is believed that the original morphology and environment of the base should bekept, the topography and terrain should be used in reason, and the architectural bodies shouldcoordinate with the environment of the base.Secondly， Taking practice and exploration of modern China and the culturalcharacteristics of Chinese traditional architecture as the source, the modern practice of localarchitectural is discussed in this paper. The design techniques of the traditional sense inmodern architecture are summarized. And the translation method of cultural connotation inarchitectural forms is explained both in the surface meaning level and the deep meaning level.Thirdly，Starting from the history and natural properties of materials, the expression ofmaterials in architectural design is investigated, and the design strategy is summarized byexample in this paper. The local expression of materials should be in line with the principle oftruth, inheritance and suitability. The merge of modern and traditional should be emphasized,and integrity and creativity should be advocated. By using traditional materials and modernmaterials in combination, and meeting the needs of using function，materials with differentattribute and expressive force should be applied reasonably. When choosing materials, naturaland culture factors should be considered, suitable materials and adaptive techniques should beapplied, forming design method that meets the needs of modern life and local characteristics. At last，the project of national product quality supervision and inspection center ofscholar’s four jewelsμ is demonstrated in detail, the design strategy in this project is analyzedin five aspects including planning and design, base design, architectural design, methods ofexpression and materials design.
