As a theory of facing architectural origin, concerning the quality of architecture, stressing the application of materials and inheritance of culture, tectonic theory played avery important role in resisting the adverse effects of globalization and also has greatsignificances in correcting the chaos of the architecture development and urging localarchitects to explore a development path rooted in the domestic culture. This paper try to depict the structure logic under the view of tectonic, from the viewof structure, by combining the emotional experience expression and the rationalprinciples, containing the discussion of forming principles of tectonic characteristics,multi-level performance of tectonic and the expression of tectonic characteristics.Firstly, this paper described the promoting function of structure element, made a cleardefinition for the structure logic under the view of tectonic and proposed that forming asense of fit is a necessary condition for giving tectonic characteristics to architectureworks; then this paper summarized three modes of forming the sense of fit which wereverified next by analyzing a large number of cases and clarifying the process that themodes work, from the study of human perception, by combining the study methods ofquestionnaires, literature research and phenomenology. At last, this paper introduced therole of structure element during design progress and further summarized threeexpression methods based on structure function from the view of a designer.I hope that through the research and exploration of this paper, the structure logicunder the view of tectonic can be clearly depicted and a new idea and a new point ofview can be provided to the today’s domestic architects.
