Blades, as key parts of aero-engine which are used to converse energy, must have very high strength, excellent mechanical properties, complex geometric shapes, high surface finish and machining accuracy. In many of the machining processings, blade rolling processing is not only a manufacturing process of low cost and high production efficiency, but also getting excellent product organization performance and high fatigue property.Nowadays, the technology of blade rolling has become a advanced technology which is widely adopted by the aircraft engine manufacturing According to blade rolling processing, developing CAD system for rolling blade can not only greatly shorten the design cycle of rolling die and blank, but highly improve product design precision. Analysing the processing of blade rolling with CAE method can both obtain the precise information of rolling process, and conveniently study the parameters and regularity of rolling process.With the secondary development technology of UG, the special-purpose CAD system of rolling blade has been completed. And the parameters of rolling process were analysed by DEFORM-3D. The mainly working contents are as follows:(1) Excel was used to manage the design data of blade body,which was read and stored automatically. And the section data should be initialized before designing. The initializing process mainly includes:the side data disposing, edge circle fitting, bad point removal, data formats judgement and conversion, etc.(2) The designing of rolling parts is key step of the whole design, which mainly includes:the blade coordinate determination, the extensions of blade tip and root, polynomial fitting of basin and back curve, coordinate transformation, rabbet inserting and other auxiliary operations. Among them, the solution of middle-curve and largest inscribed circle of blade section were studied especially.(3). The process of rolling die design mainly includes:obtaining discrete points from blade body, adding margin to the blade body and smoothing the side spline, conversing die section spline and inserting the rolling body, etc.(4) The process of rolling blanks design includes forging parts design and extrusion parts design. The main contents are as follows:the discrete points obtaining from blade body, the section design of forging part, the extensive of blade tip and root, rabbet drafting, Positioning convex platform adding. Extrusion parts design includes extrusion blade body design and extrusion parts rabbet design.(5) The UDF of blade rabbet, rolling body and positioning convex platform were established with the secondary development technology which based on UG/KF rules, and the UDFs can be inserted anywhere freely.(6) The section forward slip and the rolling force were analysed through the simulation of rolling forming.the results show that forward slip increase as friction coefficient and rolling reduction increase; rolling force increases little while tip allowance increases; Rolling force increases when the side allowance increases, and the growth is not apparent. But rolling force increases rapidly with the increasing allowance of basin and back curve.The CAD system of rolling blade integrated seamlessly with UG software, it is user-friendly, and it can reduce designers’ workload greatly, thus shorten the design cycle. And it is proved significant in practical production; The analysis of rolling parameters provides reliable theory basis for the designing of rolling die and blank.
