Urban rail transit system has been adopted in major cities for its characteristics of safe, fast, punctual and large-volume, and the operating mileage has been increasing continually. The rapid development of urban rail transit, has eased the urban traffic pressure and made it convenient for residents to travel, while the energy consumption is great at the same time. In the context of increasingly scarce energy, it is important to study energy conservation for urban rail transit operation, and the traction energy consumption occupied a large proportion in the total energy consumption of urban rail transit. Most of the existing energy conservation researches of urban rail transit are conducted under the given train diagrams, and they mainly focus on eco-driving study which is on the operating level. While the research of optimizing energy-conservation operation diagram, which considers the variety of operational requirements is less at the planning level. Based on this research status, combining the characteristics of urban rail transit, the study object-oriented energy conservation of train diagram parameters features is conducted by using computer simulation technology, which lays the foundation for energy-oriented train diagram optimization.Firstly, on the basis of domestic and international research, the paper makes a deep study on urban rail transit train performance calculation, combining the characteristics of urban rail transit. The dynamics theory, the train multi-particle model, the data structure of rail line engineering data, the speed limit data structure, the train energy-saving driving strategies and also the train time-saving driving strategies are explained here. Through analyzing the train tracking running process, a train tracking running simulation model based on the discrete event system is established.Secondly, with the analysis of the train movement, the train movement simulation object is explained. Based on the analysis conducted for the function needs and data needs of train running simulation system, the simulation system architecture is designed, the rail network model, the signal system model, train tracking model and simulation result display model are built, and finally the train running simulation system is achieved.Finally, under the background of Beijing Metro Line2, by using of the simulation system, train diagram parameters, such as train running time, train tracking interval and energy consumption, in different section with maximum running speed are calculated under the energy-conservation driving strategies, and the relationship between various parameters under energy-conservation running mode is analyzed as well. The analysis revealed that the train running energy consumption increases with the increasing maximum running speed, the train tracking interval decreases first and increases later with increasing maximum running speed, adjusting the maximum running speed of each section on the line corresponds to different energy consumption and train tracking intervals, all these provide guidance for conducting energy-oriented research of train diagram parameters.
