Instrumented wheelset study is the core element on the dynamics of railway vehicles, whose performance directly affects the evaluation results of measured object. With the rapid development of China’s railway, higher requirements on performance of wheelset are put forward. Instrumented wheelset calibration table is the special equipment used to calibrate the output characteristic and various performance indicator of wheelset, and Instrumented wheelset calibration technology is the important tache of instrumented wheelset study.The main work of this paper is to design and calculation the mechanical structure of instrumented wheelset table and research the instrumented wheelset calibration technology.At first, using Solidworks design authoring of the table and Hypermesh to mesh.Then calculating the strength and the modal analysis with Ansys.Computing object and main content includes bearing the strength calculation of base platform and gantry, modal calculation and the strength of the bolt connection. Research work shows that the design of mechanical structure components conform to the requirements of the wheelset calibration table for workThen, completed the instrumented wheelset calibration on the table and the vertival and horizontal coefficient by applying vertical load and horizontal load.Establish finite element load model of virtual table. Analog measurement calibration condition, completed the instrumented wheelset calibration on the table and calculate the vertival and horizontal coefficient. The simulation results and physical test calibration results were analyzed, which proved the established virtual test bench can be used for calibration of instrument wheelset.In addition, the measurement methods of the instrumented wheelset is analyzed, through the method of finite element simulation, the same instrumented wheelset calculation to find the best patch location and bridge mode, analysis of wheelset action point position change on the effect of vertical and horizontal bridge bridge output, to improve the test precision.
