Campus’humanistic spirit facingthe fracture, campus space appears more and more monotonic, architectural image is growingmore and more identical. Facing with so many questions,.As an architect,it’s very necessaryto reflect on the nowday’s university architectural design.This article focus on one characteristic of the structure----Regional.,to discuss theapplication and extension in the design of the teching buildings in Nanjing Region. Startingfrom the existing case research, In-depth understanding the buildingorigin, combining withregional architectural design theory,parsing the "regional" design in the domestic and foreigncolleges and universities teaching building. focusing on analysis of the architectural status quoof today’s Nanjing area of university teaching, Listing the common problems in the design ofthe "regional",author generalizes two representative problems:1) how nanjing universityteaching building to deal with the natural environment;2) how Nanjing colleges anduniversities’ teaching architectural to inherit the humanistic spirit。These two questions covertwo of the factors that affect construction of regional characteristics:the factor of naturalenvironment and social culture. For these two issues and two factors, and combining to anumber of domestic and foreign outstanding college teaching building instance, the authordiscusses Nanjing university teaching building’s "regional and strategies needed to be takenin the design, First of all, to respect the topography,it’s suitable to deal with climaticconditions with Passive design system,and achieve the desgin by using the suitable andregional technology. Secondly the new buildings in the old campus and buildings in the newcampus should pay attention to the humanistic spirit of colleges and universities.Both of themshould consider about the heritage of the regional culture.Finally,we find out strategies of the two questions reflect the status of Nanjing niversitiesand colleges’ teaching building.the author summarizes that we should use them syntheticallyand carry out the creation of regional of nanjing universities and colleges’ teaching buildingfrom the multi-angle.
