A Study On The Regional Design Of Teaching Building In College

As an instrument to create an individual college teaching environment, I introduce the theory of regional design, in order to explore an effective way on designing college teaching building in Dalian area through discussing the theory's appliance and practice on concrete issues.Beginning with a review of one finished project to develop a series of discussion on appliance of regional design theory on college teaching building. First, to introduce the theory of regional design, and conclude three regional factors, which could influence college classroom building's feature based on essence of architecture. That is, the change of nature environment, the progress of social culture, the development of economy and technology. Then, to discuss the development and concept of regional design. Second, to analyze the actuality of college classroom building in Dalian area, and to expatiate the necessary and trend to apply regional design theory on this area. Third, from two kinds of views, whole strategy and concrete method, to discuss strategy VS three factors of college teaching building in different chapters. The strategy includes the regression to nature, the condensation and continue of humaniores, and the creative appliance of feasible technology. Then, to analyze regional features of Dalian area, through comparing with some foreign examples, to conclude and illustrate a series of reference regional design. Last but not the least, in combining my experience before, to figure out an college classroom building designer must calculate all these three regional factors and adopt dialectic designing in his works while referring to other excellent cases domestic and overseas, in order to create more regional and modern teaching buildings.
