The Inherit And Use Of The Local Traditional Technology In The Restoration Project Of The Residential Buildings Of Watery Town In Regions South Of The Yangtze River

The residential buildings of watery town in regions south of the Yangtze River is a very important part of the Chinese traditional residences, and also the main point in the architectural cultural heritage in Jiangsu province. Shijiangtang is a typical example of The residential buildings of watery town in regions south of the Yangtze River. It’s located in Zhenze town, Wujiang district of Suzhou., the border region of Jiangsu and Zhejiang province. There are typical features belong to the residential buildings in Suzhou in Shijiantang,and also the features in Hangzhou and Huzhou. Tracing the project of the Shijiantang restoration, we summarized the local tradition and technology in residential buildings of watery town in regions south of the Yangtze River, and studied how to find the historical and cultural value of the landmark relics in this area during the restoration project. At the same time, we studied the landmark relics’ protection and reuse matters, hoping that the landmark relics could be used better in the further demands.
