Risk Analysis On Construction Projects Management

Along with large construction of special passenger lines,high-speedrailways and mass of large passenger railway station construction in ourcountry, it appeared some new characteristics in engineeringconstruction fields. The railway construction projects of hightechnology, difficult construction technology, tight time limit and highrisk of safety and quality are increasing. The no-standing-pillar canopyof large railway station has the same problem. The risks of constructiondesign, supervision, quality management, safety management and securityafter opening of railway stations are increasing. They have brought a lotof potential safety hazard. The risks of construction projects can causelarger negative impact on project objectives. It requires projectmanagers to take some risk management methods to reduce or avoid thehappening of the risks. Therefore, risk management has become an importantway in the construction of the project management. Establishing riskmanagement mechanism, becomes one of the important guarantee of successfor engineering construction projects.This paper puts on the no-standing-pillar canopy in Nanjing southrailway station of Beijing-Shanghai high-speed railway as an example.Itstudies how to build up risk management mechanism during the wholeconstruction.Also it studies how to identify, analyse, and assess therisks and adopt of some countermeasures. The purpose is to achieve theproject construction goal, guarantee the project construction period,quality and safety goals,and achieve economic and social benefits. Theintroduction of risk management ideas and methods can reduce the projectrisks to a minimum and achieve maximum security in the process ofconstruction engineering project management. It is my hope that thisarticle can have a certain realistic guiding significance for engineeringconstruction contractors and provide certain reference significance for risk control of the same type canopy of large station construction。...
