Is proposed in this paper is an important work to finish, designed the general process and scheme of the system, the embodiment of the each module hardware and software, and discusses the key technology of the system and implementation.Firstly analyzed by contrast some meter reading way now their respective characteristics and existing problems, and thus it can be seen that the wireless meter reading with its advanced technology, easy to implement, transfer rate high, reliability high, the cost advantages of low cost, easy popularization, will be the inevitable trend of future development.Secondly this paper in-depth studies the basic principle of ZigBee technology, analyzed the physical layer, media access control layer, network layer, application layer protocol. Distributed address allocation mechanism of ZigBee error proposed amendments, and puts forward a more practical according to the actual situation of the wireless meter reading system networking scheme of the system. Planning and design the network topology of wireless meter reading system and the structure diagram of each functional module, basic circuit diagram, equipment type selection design of the main hardware modules.Finally through the ZigBee platform development and the software programming to realize the network layer of the ZigBee agreement related functional area concentrator is connected to the system the main real-time online and data transmission function, complete the whole village water meter remote managing system based on wireless network, and through the function of each module test, accord with national technology standard requirements.
