The Rainwater Management Applied Research Of University Green Space

This thesis analyzes the main reasons of rainwater problems in the process of urbanization, the problems existing in the traditional rainwater management design in aspects of the loss of rainwater resources, urban floods and rainwater non-point source pollution, and expounds the rainwater management theory system, facilities and cases in universities at home and abroad. In this background, this thesis finds the rainwater management level problems existing in universities, and starts from the perspective of landscape architecture, taking university green space as research object, uses university green space for rainwater management. Then it studies rainwater management applied theory of university green space, definituding design objectives and principles, pointing out analysis points of status in quo meteorological hydrological and land use conditions,illustrating rainwater management steps and methods based on sustainable artistic rainwater management theory in design stage. It starts from analyzing rainwater management conditions of Suzhou universities green space, then takes Dushu lake campus first phase of Soochow University as example to have rainwater management applied for testing, elaborating the mode of operation in rainwater management design practice project basing on the local rainfall and current land conditions. The rainwater management applied research of university green space attempts to provide a scientific way to solve rainwater problem in universities, hoping to provide some references for rainwater management of Chinese university green space and similar projects.
