Abstract/Summary:
Due to extreme climate and unreasonable construction methods in the process of high-speed urbanization,the water resources problem in China is becoming increasingly serious that causes a series of resource,ecological,and social problems.Campus rainwater management,as an essential part of the urban environment,is an important potential research topic because of its large population density and concentrated water consumption.With the publication and implementation of "Green Campus Evaluation Standard"(GB/T51356-2019),the combination of landscape processing and simulation techniques,as a scientific and effective method,is beginning to receive attention.This study implemented the combination technology in rainwater management of university campus to meet the"Standard".According to domestic and foreign rainwater management theories and case studies,this study used Soochow University Dushuhulake Campus South Area as the research object to achieve the following objectives.1)studied the sponge city theory and the standard;2)understood the construction objectives,theoretical basis,calculation methods and ecological measures of the sponge city;3)summarized the relevant assessment contents of the standard for the campus rainwater management of colleges and universities and created an assessment system of rainwater management;4)implemented the system to evaluate the south area of Dushuhulake campus;5)explored the comprehensive design target based on the actual situation of the campus.This study implemented Rhino&Grasshopper platform and Hoopsnake plug-in as the parameterized simulation tool to simulate the campus rainwater runoff that provided a scientific basis for the landscape design of campus rainwater management.Besides,the relevant calculation methods of environmental engineering were used to calculate and verify the scheme,and summarize a set of design ideas for campus rainwater management in colleges and universities.Thus,the outcome of research solved the problem that most of the rainwater management on the university campus is based on theory and lacks precise simulation analysis tools,and provided some references for the planning and construction of rainwater management at a university campus.
