The Application Of Landscape Element In Parking Area

With the rapid development of a sustainable economy and accelerating speed of urban planning and construction, there was an obvious increasing trend for the cars in the cities. Due to the increasing amount of vehicles, the traffic system becomes much heavier than ever before. Especially, parking problem is attracted more attention by public. Chaotic parking environment will affect the entire landscape of the city, destroying its overall environment image, and making the contradiction between the parking area and the urban landscape increasing seriously. How to reasonably solve this problem has been focused by the public. Due to the factors, including surface runoff, heat island effect and air and noise pollution, the design of parking area combining with landscape effectively has become a hot topic focused by designers. However, since the resources and environment constraints is one of the normal economic characteristics, parking area should be improved for its landscape, giving the huge pressure of China’s environmental carrying capacity. Thus the heat-island effect which is generated by out-doors parking area without any green plant could be gradually reduced. Therefore, the pressure of the ecological environment could be alleviated. Nowadays, the government pays more attention to high-speed railway, since this railway is a product of rapid development of railway traffic in China. The station for high-speed railway is placed as the first image of the landscape in city for travellers. Thus the parking area in station should also be focused by the researchers.Based on the analysis of current design for parking area, this study focuses on the issue that designing for parking area in high-speed rail station. Addressing the problems existing in the current design for high-speed rail station, this study puts forward the general principles for designing, including people-oriented, maximum security, sustainable development and land development. Moreover, this study summarizes the design methods of parking area for the high-speed rail station from various angles, including end face, face and underside of the actual and comprehensive landscape. Based on these principles, this study take the design of parking area for high-speed rail station in Jinan city as an example. This study also analyses the design for parking area, and put forwards the plan for designing the landscape. The new plan expect to combine the landscape elements into the design for parking area, and to establish harmonious relationship between people’s lives and parking environment under the limited conditions. The ground parking is an important part constituting of urban construction land. The environmental design for parking area also reflects the level of economic development and cultural testate in a city. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to explore how to transfer the designing parking area from a traditional, monotonous, isolation way to the novel, diverse, harmony way.
