With the development of the city, traffic problems become increasingly serious. The development of subway, light rail or tram rail transportation become the strategies and measures to solve the problem of urban traffic. As the energy consumption of air conditioning system of urban rail transit run more than 30% of the total energy consumption,it is necessary to study the vehicle’s air conditioning system of urban rail transit to reduce the energy consumption of air conditioning system.Due to the operating conditions of urban rail transit vehicle and the influence factors of energy consumption,there are no comprehensive calculation method for air conditioning system’s energy consumption of vehicles currently. This paper adopts a multi-disciplinary simulation platform LMS AMESim to solve the dynamic simulation calculation of metro vehicle’s air conditioning system. Metro vehicle air conditioning refrigeration system and the coupling model of load system is established, including compressor, condenser, evaporator, capillary tube, solar radiation, windows’ heat transfer and vehicles’ heat transfer. The model consider the external meteorological parameters changes, load changes, vehicle speed, switch door thermal and other factors on energy consumption of air conditioning systems, to make simulation results closer to the actual energy consumption, and the model is verified by experimental data.Taking a subway line for example, the paper gives a prediction method for energy consumption of vehicle air conditioning system. Through Z-score standardization and energy effect weighted processing, the meteorological parameters can be converted to dimensionless. Then use the K-means clustering algorithm to cluster analysis of meteorological parameters, to get three typical days (overcast, cloudy, sunny). Select the smallest clustering distance days as typical days, and use the typical days to predict the energy consumption of vehicle air conditioning system.Finally, the energy saving potential of variable air volume systems and structure heat transfer are analyzed based on energy consumption calculation and prediction method.
