In recent years, with the rapid development of ultrasonic imaging theory and technique, the standard of the design and manufacture of the ultrasonic imaging (USG) equipment are elevated.. Due to its unique non-destructive property, low cost, convenience and other advantages, many scholars, experts, and corporations had started to accelerate the development of USG equipment. USG equipment integrated ultrasonic wave, design and manufacture of machine, biomedical engineering and other fields into a whole, so it can drive the multiple areas forward.USG equipment is widely used in hospitals and other health facilities. Because of the relatively backward manufacture, which is still using analog in many times, USG equipment cannot design to be miniaturize and portable. However, with the development of integrated circuit technology, providing the miniaturization and domestication with convenient has become a trend.It is possible of the front-end of USG equipment to be miniaturization with the development of modularize circuit. Before, we need a large of circuit boards to achieve analog transmission circuit, but now, we only need one waves control module to realize the goal to generate wave, which meets the doctors’ requirements. It is all-time to be convenience, fast and controllable of this technology. The beam forming technology based on phased array imaging theory can produce various focused waves.FPGA technology has also provided the shortcut to be miniaturization of USG equipment, improved circuit performance and increased working efficiency and flexibility of circuit design. For example, FPGA with only single chip can easily implement the complex logic circuit now, but previously, it had to need a whole circuit board or more blocks of original circuit board to achieve. The parallel processing of FPGA can make it possible to sample the data of multi-channel and high precision, and improve the quality of imaging.In this paper, we have proposed a design scheme of USG equipment based on FPGA, which is using highly integrated ultrasonic transmission and collection module with 256 channels. Each channel with the TGC function can be individually controlled and the sampling frequency is 100 MSPS.In the case of the highest to 1000 samples per second, we can get the perfect solution of the design requirements, high real-time and huge amount of data, by sampling 4k data each time and using PCIe transmission mode. Through the PCB circuit design, we can actually demonstrate the feasibility of this scheme.
