Compared with common sonar system, more details from shape outlines of underwater targets are obtainable for imaging sonar with higher resolution rate. Wihle working, high quality image is given by it, which can be used in target tracking and identifying. Therefore, imaging sonar is wildly used in both ocean exploitation and dam security detection.A phase-controlling transmitter is designed and worked out upon the request of imaging sonar system which includes generator of phase-controlling signals as well as transmitter circuit. The circuit used in generating phase-controlling signals based on FPGA according to beam forming tech is designed which provides transmitter beam signals for multi-channels circuits in the range of±10°degree. To improve the transmitting efficiency, D type push-pull power amplifier circuit is adopted in the transmitter which can provides 10W power. And mini-dimention QFP power MOSFET is used in the designing to reduce the dimention of the circuit system. With the test result's proven, both the producing circuit for phase-controlling signals and transmitting circuit have reached the original index that proved the wise designing in the beginning.
