Urban space is the material carrier of urban, economic and social development, has the material, social, economic, ecological, political, and other properties, and the relation of influencing each other between different attributes. Space on a city’s development and change of society, economy, ecological environment and so on various aspects performance varying degrees of impact. Performance evaluation of the urban space development research has important theoretical and practical significance.Overall urban planning as an important means of space planning, the urban space form, space layout, play a crucial role in guiding. The current overall planning implementation evaluation in space research with the development of the lack of considering the multiple attribute space, only from the material space dimension made a simple request, ignoring the spatial development of urban economic and social aspects of impact evaluation. The author in the perspective of the overall urban planning implementation, introducing in the original assessment framework for the implementation of "performance evaluation of space development", aims to further improve the overall planning of urban planning implementation evaluation system, to develop reasonable and effective urban space development strategy to provide the scientific basis, also for general planning revision and adjustment of the target to provide the reference.In this paper to evaluate the performance of spatial development from the city’s environmental performance, social performance and economic performance in three aspects, construct the urban spatial development performance evaluation system. Comb through to the various aspects of performance problems and assessing the determination of value orientation, to select indicators for performance evaluation of all aspects of the numerical and spatial index, respectively establish environmental, social, and economic performance evaluation index system, USES the method of spatial morphology measurement and modern GIS technology method to quantify the evaluation index, the assessment in the conformity assessment index and planning target, whether the implementation results and conform to the planning objectives of development trend. Using the analytic hierarchy process and expert scoring method to determine the index weight, evaluate score standard and calculation method, using the comprehensive evaluation model of comprehensive analysis of the results of evaluation indexes, it is concluded that the performance evaluation of the urban space development. The last types according to different assessment results, suitable for urban space development strategy is put forward.Selection of zhucheng overall planning implementation evaluation as an example, will build the urban space development of performance evaluation system for empirical analysis.
