Unlike the city in the warmer southern areas, outside residentialenvironment design in city is largely affected by the climate.Whenever we aredesigning,we should fully consider of the objective condition of the coldclimate,analyzing its advantages and disadvantages,by conducting reasonablemethod to adjust the regional climate characteristics and improve theunfavorable factors,so as to highlight regional culture characteristic,make theresidents in the cold winter also can enjoy the rich and colorful outdooractivities. It integrates the soft beauty of art design, at the same time meet theneeds of functionality, and thus it gives people space art enjoyment other thanfunctionality. Fully infusing the design idea into the details, it aims to show theart beauty incisively and vividly.As four dimensional synthesis, the design of architectural entrance spaceshould satisfy the needs of man and space, space and environment, environmentand city and multidimensional varieties of spacetime, and provide convenienceand space enjoyment for the users from the function, emotion and other aspects.It should also consist with the environment to realize the dialogue with man andarchitect, architect and space. Due to the unique climatic conditions as well asthe special geographical environment,the outside environment in cold cityappears to be different from other mild and hot areas.In this paper,we analyzedthe intellectual process of the development of outside environment ofresidents in cold city during the passed several decades,combed the theory insurface,practiced and summarized,prospect the future of the outsideenvironment in cold city and put forward to the possible paten of thedevelopment.
