As the increasingly development of CAD/CAM, it has been applied in various fields in ship building industry. Different companies have their own soft which can not transfer data to each other without mistake. By the way, consumers need to use a lot of softs to do a series of things, it costs a plenty of time to change one soft to another. Because of this, it has been a big problem which is badly need to be solved in ship industry.CAD/CAM systems usually have closed programs and different measures, so there always have obstacle in data exchange. It can’t feed the increasingly need from ship industry, even though standard of data exchange has been established, some of them is designed for ship industry such as AP215. Rather than waiting. the change of standard about ship industry, maybe developing a special system for data exchange is a better choice.TRIBON is popular in ship industry, many ship factory have used it for design ship for decades. However, it has closed program and peculiar system which can not exchange data to other softs without mistakes. Therefore, this thesis concentrates on the theory of technology in data exchange from TRIBON to other 3 systems, specific include:(1) Research on the neutral file of STEP and IGES, at the mean time XML and DXF has been studied in detail in this thesis.(2) Research on the data storage forms and secondary development of TRIBON, the data extraction by using keyword has been analyzed too.(3) Research the method of data exchange by analyzing neutral model, front interface, rear interface. It has been verified that data exchange of muti-platform based on TRIBON system is feasible by establishing a real prototype system.(4) Study the remodeling method of ANSYS, AUTOCAD, CATIA respectively, on the other hand, it has been suggested that how to extract the particular cross-section from the box-type block in this thesis.
