| A method of data exchange between hull structure design model and FEM model in CAITA is studied in this paper, which make the finite element model generation work automatically. Meanwhile, the component property data can be exchanged both in hull structure model and finite element model convenient and efficiency. The time taken to mesh property definition and importation can be reduced by this exchange mechanism.Three-dimensional modeling software is used in some domestic shipyard, such as TRIBON, CATIA. The structure model built by this software can be applied to manufacture design, it provides useful information to define and refine construction data and drawings. The structure model built by CATIA contains a wealth of geometry and attributes information, which has an ability to mesh. With the secondary development in CATIA system, a meshing technology is developed. It makes possible that FEM model generates automatically from structure design models, although local areas need to adjust manual. It is not only avoiding time-consuming work, but also develops the application field of structural model. Meanwhile, the mapping relationship of the two models is built. It provides chance for mesh property imported work.Structure model contains a large number of attributes information. The information store in the CATIA document, it isn't easy to access and read. On the basis of building a relational database, a Data Management Program Module is researched, which can centralized storage and management property data. Anymore the origin of property data is structure design model. The integration of the hull structural properties database and hull structure thickness measurement system, supporting thickness measurement data feedback to hull structural properties database, and then supporting mesh property map and update automatically.An Interface Software is also developed in this paper. The software, which basis on hull structural properties database, can generate mesh property file automatically. With the interface program development, the data can be queried from structure component database, and can be saved as a special format XML file. The XML file records the finite element mesh attribute, which can be identified by CATIA System automatically. The adding property work can be done quickly with this method. At the same time, the research of using thickness data is conduced, it is proposal that refinement region of structure component by thickness measure point. Using this method to FEM calculation, it is more reasonably and accurately reflect the structural conditions than normal method.A finite element calculation base on an oil cargo tank is carried. Applying the method mentioned in this paper, a finite element model generates automatically, and mesh properties are automatically defined. It makes the calculation success. The method has been proved to be feasible and practical. |
