Recently, with thorough understanding human health, more researches on the Therapeutic Garden have been conducted at home and abroad. Innovations keep coming up from the theory to designation, and the application of Therapeutic Garden hasbeen extended to non-medical environment such as schools, streets and communities except for the medical environment. This article proposes the possibility of customer demand oriented designation with the theory and mechanism of therapeutic garden to build a nature camp for urban children with nature-deficit disorder by combining theory and practice. The main contents as summarized as follows.1. According to the subject background and related domestic and foreign researches, this research clarifies the object, significance and content, research strategy, technical route and methods andensures the scientificity and rationality of this research.2. By studyingrelevant references and current situation and introducing and analyzing on urban children’s current living situation and encountered difficulties, this research describes the internal connection between children and nature.3. Based on children’s behavior and psychological characteristics, this research is aimed at reestablishing the substantial connection between children’s emotion and nature by taking the mechanism of therapeutic garden as theoretical basis and building a nature camp for children to facilitate the recovery of physiology, psychology and social life function of nature-deficit disorder children.4. With multi-disciplinary methods, the QFD design process is usedfor this research as a mode to establish a customer demand oriented design process and provide a new thought of Therapeutic Garden designation.5. Guided by the Therapeutic Garden theory and through practical exploration of children’s nature camp during the QFD design process, the scientificity and rationality of the theoretical strategy and methods are verified; and the related experience and lessons are summarized.
