Urban Design Strategy Study On Skyway System Of Xiaozhai Commercial District In Xian

With the increasing urbanization process in China a large number of people gatheredto cities, result in a shortage of urban space resources, the increasingly prominentcontradiction between human and land. Two-dimensional spatial patterns expansion caneither solve the problem of urban land resources, or adapt to contemporary diverse,complex space requirements. Most Chinese cities have to take high-density, intensivedevelopment model. Three-dimensional organization of urban space becomes the issuesof today’s discussion of urban construction, especially in the commercial district’srenewal Construction.With the evolution of contemporary lifestyle, contemporary commercial spacechanges the simply old “buy&sale” model. Because the development of complexfunctions diversified space, the status of the commercial district of the space environmentis unable to meet people’s needs, issues like mixed vehicles, space division, lack of greenhave drawn attentions from urban designers……Face the super multi commercialbuildings in cities, how to take practical way to improve the current problem ofcommercial space is the focus of this article thinking.In this paper constructs research framework from the urban renewal and the statusrequirements of the Xi’an Xiaozhai commercial district. With the theoretical study ofhigh-density commercial district and skywalk system, clear the status requirements ofhigh-density commercial district renewal and establish basic cognitive of skywalk systempractice. By discussing the necessity and feasibility of skywalk system, try to combinewith typical cases beneficial experience both at home and abroad， and to do sufficienttheoretical preparation for the skywalk system design in Xiaozhai commercial district. Through the system construction of urban design put forward urban design strategy of“elementsdesign”and“systemdesign”.Finally,throughtheimplementationofstrategiesand operational vision,try to provide strong protection to the skywalk system.Today in China, the skywalk system in urban commercial district is not just aresponse to urban traffic problems, it is a direct and effective business strategy, asustainable development strategy for the economic benefits, social benefits andenvironmental benefits’. It represents a trend to deal with problems of the spatialdevelopment lags behind social progress and the urgent needs to improve thecomprehensive quality of district in China’s many commercial districts like Xiaozhaicommercial district. Therefore, we hope that through the discussion and research of theskywalk system urban design practice’s whole process in Xiaozhai commercial district,to summarize the operational strategies and measures and guide the skywalk systemplanning and constructions in urban commercial district within the country.
